District 4 Election Results
CoServ Members have elected Mark Rutledge to the CoServ Electric Board of Directors. The District 4 Runoff Election result was announced at a special Member meeting streamed online Thursday, September 24, 2020, from CoServ’s headquarters and conducted without public attendance because of COVID-19 precautions.
A total of 6,786 Members voted in the election. Mr. Rutledge of Little Elm received 4,016 votes, and Patrick Wamhoff of Frisco received 2,770 votes. Since Mr. Rutledge received a majority of the votes, he is elected to the Board for a three-year term.

Board Candidate Process
Per CoServ Electric's Bylaws, each year, eligible CoServ Electric Members can apply to be candidates for election to the Board of Directors, vote in the Board of Directors election and attend the Annual Meeting, where the election results are announced. Ballots are returned to and counted by an independent Election Official.

Every year notice of an election of a CoServ Electric Board Director in two or more of CoServ's districts are mailed to CoServ Electric Members who live in those districts. The District Notices outline the nomination process, deadlines, and how to obtain nomination petitions and other required forms.
