If CoServ does not receive payment by three days after the due date of your bill, a Disconnect Notice will be mailed to you, giving you 10 additional days to make the payment.*
If we do not receive payment before the date stated on the disconnect notice, your service will be disconnected resulting in additional fees. CoServ Electric Members can get their service reconnected by paying their full past due balance online, through the SmartHub app or by calling (940) 321-7800. Electric Members do NOT need to call to get service reestablished. In most cases, power will be restored within an hour of paying the full past due balance.
Here are some tips to prevent disconnection:
- Update your communication preferences to sign up for account alerts so you'll know your account is past due
- Request a Payment Due Date Extension BEFORE the due date stated on the disconnect notice to avoid reconnection fees
If you have been disconnected:
ELECTRIC SERVICE
You will be required to pay:
- A $100 reconnection fee
- Your entire past due balance
GAS SERVICE
You will be required to pay:
- A $65 reconnection fee
- Your entire past due balance
An appointment is required to reconnect your gas service. Reconnection appointments must be scheduled with Customer Care via online chat or by calling (940) 321-7800 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The timing of the appointment will depend on when you contact Customer Care.
- An adult age 18 or older must be present at the address for the gas reconnection appointment.
- A Reconnection Request before 11:30 a.m. will have appointments scheduled for the morning of the next business day.
- A Reconnection Request between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. will have appointments scheduled for the afternoon of the next business day.
