The Capital Credit Retirement process can be confusing. To help you read your statement, we’ve created the key below. It matches the columns on your statement. Use this page as a resource or print out this PDF and align the key to the top of your statement.
The CoServ Electric Board of Directors has approved the retirement of a portion of Capital Credits allocated through 2017. (They add up over a nearly 20-year cycle and are retired (paid) at the discretion of the Board.)
Additionally, Capital Credits from our power supplier, Brazos Electric Cooperative, are being retired this year. When Brazos retires Capital Credits to us, we pass the retirement to our Members.
Capital Credits are a tangible benefit and integral part of cooperative membership. We invest them in manpower and equipment to serve our consumer-owners (Members), and when we’re able to, we retire (pay) them to you. Thank you for your membership!
